I am a registered social worker who has extensive experience helping people to navigate a broad range of mental health barriers including anxiety, depression, self-image/identity issues, and symptoms of trauma, grief and loss. I regularly support clients through conflict, I help them to make difficult decisions, and to better respond to everyday expectations.
I draw on my training in Narrative Therapy and in Observed and Experiential Integration (OEI) in my counselling, and often draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person Centred therapy as appropriate.
I am a white settler who lives and works on the unceded territory of the Nlaka’pamux People. I am committed professionally and personally to supporting Indigenous communities across Turtle Island. Additionally, as a member of the queer community, centering social justice in all all areas of practice is a priority. Racism, colonialism, and homophobia, for example, have very real and direct impacts on individual’s lives, and are important elements of healing.
